My husband and I started looking for a doula after we found out we were pregnant. We had a little difficulty because we have Tricare insurance, and Tricare was trialing covering doula services. Therefore, many doulas were not certified to work with Tricare and did not know the process.
I recently gave birth to my second baby boy with Cherie by my side as my doula and had the best experience with her! My first baby ended in a c-section and I knew I wanted a different birth for my second baby. I started doing research on TOLAC and VBAC which resulted in building a supportive birth team.
