Our experience with Betsy was outstanding! She provided so much guidance as we prepared for birth - spending several hours/visits going over eveything from the basics of how the baby is intended to pass through the canal to pre- and post-labor nutritional tips and exercises, not to mention the creation of an in-depth…
My deliveries were not easy. I should have trauma. Instead I have memories of love and support. Of meeting the amazing little human beings I get to parent. I also have the peace of mind that my voice was present and that I consciously participated in the decisions made to do the best I could.
I worked with Betsy for the delivery of my second child. We had planned to meet in person, but the baby came early and the first time we actually met was in the delivery room. The moment she entered the delivery room at 2 am, she brought a sense of serenity and calm.
Betsy felt more like a friend than just a doula. We talked through video chat weekly. It was part of her job but to me it meant a lot because she showed a lot of kindness, gave great advice and was there for me. She helped me SO much with my birth plan. She filled in a lot of blanks for me.
