Joy was amazing and exceeded our already high expectations during what ended up being a difficult birth. She was hands on when needed and provided a lot of relief with various counter pressure techniques and positioning.
Although I had originally planned to work with my primary doula during labor, I knew there was always a possibility she could be attending another birth when my time came. And so it did- Joy stepped in as my backup doula, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Thankful for Joy, who was a steady, calm, and dependable presence during my unique birth experience. Joy checked in with me often via text and call, I always felt like she was easy to talk to and available to me, in spite of my somewhat long birth process.
Joy was spectacular from the moment she got on the phone during early labor. We originally signed up with a different doula, but when the time came, she was in another delivery. Joy took over and it was absolutely seamless.
