As a FTM without any family close-by (or other help), I knew that I needed a postpartum doula to get past the newborn stage, and began my search for someone not only knowledgeable and helpful in my day-to-day tasks, but also somebody that could calm my new mom-anxiety.
Postpartum is such an overlooked, underrated period of time (pregnancy and labor are given so much more attention). I was on the fence about hiring a postpartum doula, but my experience with Sagan has taught me that postpartum doulas are just as essential as labor doulas.
Sagan has helped with my transition in having my newborn daughter via c-section over the past few weeks and she has been incredibly helpful to a new mom while recovering from surgery and acclimating to life with a newborn.
