I approached my first pregnancy and birth with the “thousands of women do this every day” mindset. I didn’t prepare my mind or body in any way because I didn’t think I needed to. I was induced at 41 weeks, labored for 38 hours and ended up having an emergency c-section.
I want to start this review for anyone reading by saying I truly believe if it weren’t for Lauren I would have had a c section, but instead I had a beautiful, vaginal birth. Read further down for details :) Going into my first time giving birth I knew I wanted an expert in the room with me.
My wife and my journey started a few years ago when we suffered through our first miscarriage. We ultimately ended up having 3 including one ectopic pregnancy that almost ended my wife’s life. We were introduced to Lauren shortly after and our lives changed forever.
Having had our first child without a doula, my wife and I knew we wanted support from a trained professional when it came time to have our second. After looking at Lauren’s website and the great content she puts out on social media, we immediately knew we had found the right person for the job.
