When I first found out I was pregnant, I was TERRIFIED. As a Black woman, my immediate thought was “let me have a written will and my affairs in order in case I become another statistic” I was unsure of what I was in control of and what the hospital was in control of.
I had a very positive experience working with Shantel C. as my doula. I decided to hire a doula because I didn’t have such a positive experience during my first delivery and wanted support, guidance, and confidence this time.
