When we had our first consultation with Rebecca, I communicated with her my concerns and fears about giving birth as a black woman. Not only was she open and honest during our conversation, but knowledgeable as well.
Rebecca was my doula for the birth of our 4th child, and while it was her first birth, clearly this is the work she was meant to do. She was able to support me, and my husband, through less than ideal circumstances and navigating significant trauma after.
Rebecca has been my doula through both of my pregnancies and births. My two births were very different. She was such a calm and comforting presence both times, and was supported us in exactly the way we needed both times.
