This review is long overdue! As a provider in the community, I work with many doulas. In the Bay, we are fortunate to have many good doulas for clients to choose. But, Allison stands out. I have heard from numerous nurses and MDs/CNMs at Alta Bates that they love working with her.
My husband and I worked with Allison as we prepared to welcome our first child and could not have been happier with our decision. She brought experience and calming presence both leading up to and during labor, and in postpartum support. From the initial meeting, Allison was kind, caring and very professional.
It's hard to put into words the gratitude my partner and I feel for Allison, who we worked with through the Sisters Doula team. Allison is truly incredible (we refer to her as a birth angel). Before meeting her, we thought of birth as something to get through. Allison helped us see it as something to be experienced.
My pregnancy and birth process was incredible, largely thanks to Allison. She is the most caring, calm, compassionate, understanding, flexible person and guided me through every fear, anxiety, or unexpected moment from beginning to end.. and even through postpartum! Way beyond our contract expectations.
