This review is way overdue but I couldn't have asked for a better doula and birth photographer for my first child and home birth experience in April 2022. Coco felt like my friend during the entire process, from the consultation, during our communication, all the way until my son's birth.
Let me start by saying that I had little to no knowledge of what a doula’s role was before I was referred to Columbia. I did some research and reached out and after our initial meeting, I knew I wanted her to be involved in my pregnancy and birth.
Hiring Columbia as my doula was the best thing I did for my pregnancy! I really wanted to experience a natural birth, and I was afraid that without the necessary support I would not be able to do it. She helped me advocate for myself and find a new doctor when mine was not respectful of my birth plan.
After having an incredible birth experience with Columbia 2 years ago, we chose to hire her as our doula again for our second baby who I delivered in June. Just as before, Columbia offered invaluable information during the prenatal period to help me feel prepared and confident.
